CARE ActOVERVIEW
The CARE Act, a civil court process, provides community-based behavioral health services and supports to eligible adult Californians living with bipolar I disorder with psychotic features, schizophrenia spectrum disorder, or other psychotic disorders.
The CARE process moves care and support upstream to provide earlier action, support, and accountability for both CARE clients, and the local governments responsible for providing services to these individuals.

The CARE Act Resource Center provides training, technical assistance and resources to county behavioral health agencies, counsel, volunteer supporters and other stakeholders to support the seamless implementation of the CARE Act.
