Orientation to the CARE Act Process

This training provides an overview of the CARE Act process. It outlines key roles within the CARE Act and describes the overall CARE process including the petition/referral, engagement, court process/service connection, and service delivery.

Per updates in Senate Bill 27, as of January 1, 2026, bipolar I disorder with psychotic features, except psychosis related to intoxication, is an eligible diagnosis. This training has been updated to reflect this update. For more information, see the Senate Bill 27 brief.
