A series for county behavioral health leadership and staff to understand trauma-informed care and identify practices that can be implemented at the system and individual level. Includes a training on the impact of implicit bias and how to mitigate as much as possible.

• Part 1: Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) & Organizational Considerations for Behavioral Health Agencies: Defines trauma and trauma-informed care. Identifies factors that are common causes of trauma. Provides an overview of how organizations can integrate trauma-informed care and avoid re-traumatization.
• Part 2: Incorporating Trauma-Informed Care into the CARE Process for Behavioral Health Agencies: Overview of incorporating trauma-informed care into the CARE process. Highlights points in the CARE process that might be traumatic or triggering for CARE respondents and potential actions to reduce these triggers.
• Part 3: Workforce Sustainability with Trauma-Informed Care for Behavioral Health Agencies: Overview of workforce wellness and the Assess, Recovery, Mitigate, and Strengthen (ARMS) Wellness Regimen for Professionals. Highlights potential strategies for resiliency, self-compassion, and self-care.
• Addressing Implicit Bias for Behavioral Health Agencies: Provides an overview of implicit bias and examples of biases in different settings. Discusses strategies that behavioral health agencies can take to address bias in their work.
